Established by the Greensburg City Council on 28 December 1981 by Resolution 1981-8 pursuant to KSA 12-1696 et seq.  Amended by Resolution 1982-1.   Amended by Charter Ordinance No. 6, adopted May 8, 2000.  Section 2, Charter Ordinance No. 6 amended December 19, 2011 by Charter Ordinance No. 14.   Charter Ordinance No. 16, adopted September 16, 2013, confirmed and ratified the establishment of the committee, exempted the City from provisions of KSA 12-1696 et seq which are inconsistent with Charter Ordinance 16, and repealed provisions of Resolution 1981-8 and any other resolution or ordinance inconsistent with Charter Ordinance 16.  Charter Ord. 16 established a committee consisting of not less than six (6) nor more than ten (10) members appointed by the governing body with four (4) year, staggered terms; and it allows the Committee to establish bylaws, approved by Council.  Bylaws were adopted by Council on September 16, 2013.  Resolution 2013-12 extended the current terms of service  for Committee members by one year.
