Recycling in Greensburg
Recycling is just one way we put the 'green' in Greensburg. Recycling saves resources, prevents pollution, supports public health, and creates jobs. It saves money, avoids landfills, and best of all, it’s easy.
The City of Greensburg offers curbside recycling to all residents. Residents may get up to two recycling carts. Curbside recycling pick up is the second Wednesday of the month for east/west streets, and the third Wednesday of the month for north/south streets. What items can be recycled.
Collection of CFL (Compact Fluorescent Light) bulbs, cell phones, eye glasses and household batteries is available at City Hall, 300 S. Main. Eye glasses are sent away through the Lions Club sight programs.
Kiowa County operates a recycling center at 1002 S. Grove Street.
The Kiowa County Senior Center also accepts cell phones and ink cartridges for recycling.
